The portfolios have become one of the last places where you can experiment. A “place” where you can try something new, without the fear that visitors will not get it, because they will. There is a mass hysteria that the visitors “don’t like to think”. This is a collection of websites that want to show more, that let you experience the website, not scan it.
A portfolio, from my perspective, is one of the last strongholds of creativity in webdesign. In a world concentrated on pushing products to the consumer, mediocrity becomes a problem. Same navigation, same positioning, trendy perspective, and with no personality. To much quantity, and less quality; clients don’t understand the need for a real online experience, they see just see an investment.
So the last place to actually take some time and add something that really matters is in your portfolio, in there portfolios, as you will see.
The following showcase presents individuals that gave life to there work. You can actually go “wow!”, not necessarily because of there design or area of expertise, because of the out of the box thinking.
